Sales Development Representative (UK)
About MobiLoud
MobiLoud helps established ecommerce brands turn their existing websites into iOS and Android apps, without rebuilding their product or managing two separate systems.
We work with ecommerce businesses that have real traffic, real customers, and a genuine need for a direct mobile channel they actually own. Our customers use MobiLoud to improve retention, drive repeat purchases, and cut their dependence on paid acquisition and third-party platforms.
We're a bootstrapped, profitable, remote-first SaaS company founded in 2013. We've served 2,000+ brands and have hundreds of active customers today, including Estée Lauder, John Varvatos, Jack & Jones, and Tadashi Shoji. 13 years profitable. We've never raised a round, and we never need to. Our team is 16 people, all remote, all hands-on, all trusted to work independently.
The role
Email and SMS still drive revenue for ecommerce brands, but the channels are getting harder to run. Inbox deliverability is tightening, SMS compliance keeps adding friction, and customer acquisition costs keep climbing. A mobile app adds something the retention stack doesn't have: a direct channel to the customers who already bought, via push notifications. The customers who install an app are the ones already buying repeatedly. Push reaches them on the lock screen with 70-80% opt-in rates, on top of the brand's existing email and SMS programs. Some brands recover tens of thousands a month in abandoned carts this way, on top of what email and SMS already deliver. That's what we sell.
That's the prospect you're calling. You own the top of the funnel: cold outbound to ecommerce brands doing real volume, and you book qualified discovery calls onto the closer's calendar. You decide who to reach, what to say, and how to follow up.
You'll run a mix of cold email, LinkedIn, and cold calls. We already have prospect lists, enrichment data, and outbound tooling in place. You'll work from those, layer your own research and judgment on top, and propose new sourcing channels, formats, and angles you want to test. We're open to trying things. Sequences iterate based on what's landing.
You report to the founder. Closers handle discovery, demo, and contracting. Once a meeting is booked and the prospect joins, your job is done. Your number is qualified meetings held that convert to opportunities.
What you'll do
- Run cold outbound across email, LinkedIn, and phone to ecommerce brands matching our ICP
- Work from our existing prospect data, sharpen the lists with your own research, and propose new sources we should add
- Write and iterate sequences. Subject lines, body copy, follow-ups, and call openers are all yours
- Book qualified discovery calls onto the closer's calendar with clean handoff notes
- Keep the CRM current. Activity, contact data, and pipeline stages all reflect reality
- Test new channels and angles, report what's working, kill what isn't
- Coordinate with the closer on feedback from booked calls so the next batch lands sharper
Who you are
- 1 to 3 years in outbound SDR or BDR at a B2B SaaS company, with numbers you can point to (meetings held per month, reply rate, top-of-funnel volume)
- Native or near-native English. You can write a cold email that doesn't sound like a template and hold a cold call without freezing
- Comfortable with rejection and volume. Picking up the phone is part of the job, not the hard part
- You read accounts before you reach out. Spray-and-pray isn't how you operate
- Comfortable in modern outbound tooling and CRMs. You keep them current without being asked
- You want to go deep on the ecommerce world. The people who close the most meetings are the ones who learn how brands actually run their commerce stack and where mobile fits in
- Ecommerce or DTC selling experience is a strong plus, not required
- Based in the UK. Most prospects are US-based, so you'll need comfortable overlap with Eastern Time business hours
Compensation
- Base: £3,000/month (£36,000/year)
- £300 per qualified meeting held (paid on held, not booked, so no-shows don't count against you or pay)
- OTE: about £65,000/year at steady-state performance. Strong performers go higher. No cap.
- Unlimited time off. You're a contractor, so you manage your own schedule and availability. We don't track days. If you're hitting your meeting target, the schedule is yours.
- This engagement sits outside IR35, as you will control how and when you deliver your work
- Independent contractor basis. You invoice monthly and handle your own tax obligations
What success looks like
- Steady volume of qualified meetings held month over month that convert into opportunities
- Closers spend their time in discovery and demos, not chasing or re-qualifying your handoffs
- Reply rates and meeting-booked rates improve as you iterate on messaging
- The pipeline you generate carries enough opportunity to make the role pay for itself within a quarter
Why this role
- You own outbound end to end, from list to booked meeting. Sourcing, messaging, channel mix, and follow-up cadence are all your call
- Direct line to the founder. Feedback on what's working comes back same week, not next quarter
- You'll work on apps for serious ecommerce brands. Our customer base includes Estée Lauder, John Varvatos, Jack & Jones, and Tadashi Shoji
- Commission has no cap. If you book and we close, you get paid
- Fully remote, work from anywhere in the UK. No office attendance expectation, no London hybrid
- Small, focused, profitable team. Bootstrapped since 2013 and growing without outside money
Not a fit if
- You want to be told exactly which accounts to call every Monday. We have data and systems, but you're expected to bring your own thinking and improve what we have
- You only want to send email. Cold calls and LinkedIn outreach are part of the mix
- You want to close. This role hands off to a closer, not the other way around
- You're early-career and looking for heavy mentoring. You'll get coaching but you own the work from day one
- You need FT employee benefits (healthcare, paid PTO, parental leave, equity). This is a contractor engagement, not an employment contract
